For minutes I have stared at a blank screen. 2016. What should I say about the year that is almost behind us. Well, first of all I can't believe it's almost over, it's almost 2017. When did that happen? To be frank, 2016 wasn't one of my best years and I am glad to see the end of it. Health issues, loss of loved ones and the political mess the world seems to gotten itsself into, is pressing hard on the year I've had. More than ever I am grateful to find solace in creativity, crochet, yarn and colour. It's been heart warming to welcome you all here, and on my social media channels.
One fun fun thing, Happy in Red got it's own Instagram account. Over the last few years I have seen many crocheters and sewing bees give up their blogs in favour of Instagram. Simply because it's easier and faster, it seems to fit our busy scedules better. But honestly, I couldn't miss my good ol' blog for the world! So I hope to see you here sometime (or more) in 2017. According to Instagram, these 9 projects were my top 9 for 2016:
1. The Moroccan blanket ~ 2. Candy Cane ripple stitch blanket ~ 3. Utrecht has a brand new wool shop ~ 4. Ripple stitch baby blanket ~ 5. I fanally made a Victorian Lace Square Blanket ~ 6. The Victorian Lac square blanket even shows up twice in my top 9 ~ 7. The reveal of my Scheepjes 2016 CAL blanket, donated to charity ~ 8. My funky fifties blanket, in crazy colours ~ 9. A pineapple coin purse, have a look at the free crochet pattern
Vertel eens, hoe was 2016 voor jou? En is er één project dit jaar waar je heel erg trots op bent?
So, tell me. What was 2016 like for you? Is there one particular project that you are really proud of?
