And all this posting about Croatia will lead to something, promise. 'Cause I might just give some stuff from Croatia away... Interesting huh? Stay tuned. It may just happen in the next couple of days!
~So, about our last stop: Trogir!~
If your plane touches ground at Split airport you’d think it’d be no more than logical to take a bus or taxi to Split and spend some wonderful days in this wonderful place full with traces of the Roman empire. Nothing wrong with that, I loved Split.
But actually, it’d be much easier to go to Trogir instead. Trogir is only 10 minutes by bus from Split airport and so much more cute and romantic. This small town is just a classic beauty. Just like many places in Croatia the Italians left their mark in Trogir, the place breathes the atmosphere of Venice (but then really tiny) and it’s crammed city centre of small streets and squares just begs for a few days of relaxing there. And so we did.
What’s also a lot of fun to day is to take a day trip, to the Krka National Park. Waterfalls Galore! Now I come from flat ol’ Holland, so every speedbump is a mountain for me. I was therefore smitten with the gorgeous waterfalls at Krka. It was a wonderful afternoon of hiking, swimming and eating.
And now, back in rainy Holland… I feel a little ‘homesick’ for Croatia.
~Not hard to understand, right?~
