Blissful Sunday

Het was weer eens een ouderwetse zondag. Zo'n zondag dat ik op tijd (lees: veel te vroeg, toen het nog pikdonker was) wakker was en opstond. En mijn lief ook. Uitgebreid ontbijt gemaakt, wat huishoudelijke klusjes en toen: naaien, naaien, naaien!
It was a nice old fashioned Sunday. A Sunday that started early (read: way too early, when it was still pitch dark out). I woke up rather in time and so did my sweat. I made us breakkie, did some chores and then it was time for: sewing, sewing, sewing.
Zou Sinterklaas het erg vinden dat ik nu al bezig ben met kerstig naaien? En zou ik dan misschien mee in de zak naar Spanje moeten? Ik hoop het.
I hope Sinterklaas doesn't mind that I am already sewing for Christmas? And if he does mind, would that mean he'd take me back with him to Spain? I hope so.
Ik ging ook verder met een project dat ik een aantal weken geleden startte. Er kwam van alles tussen (ha, wanneer niet...), maar nu moest het écht gebeuren. Als het helemaal af is krijgen jullie het natuurlijk te zien. En ja, de stof zagen jullie al eerder.
I also continued a prpject that I started a few weeks ago. Other things got in the way (ha, they always do, don't they), but now I just had to start working on this a bit more. When it's finished I'll show all of you of course! And yes, that fabric looks familiar doesn't it?
En toen vond ik deze rol met stoffen nog terug, onderin mijn kast. De stakker. Er zitten echt geweldige stoffen op deze rol en daarom kocht ik hem ook, zo'n half jaar geleden. Het enige punt is (daar kom ik altijd pas mee nádat ik het gekocht heb). Wat doe je eigenlijk met stroken van 10 cm x 50 cm? Dus daar pieker ik nu even over. Help me gerust op weg. Hebben jullie weleens zo'n rol gekocht en wat doe je daar dan mee?
And I also found this fabric roll, on the botton of my closet. Poor bugger. I love the fabric in this roll and that's why I bought it, about 6 months ago. The thing is (and I always wonder this áfter I buy things), what to do with it? The strips on this fabric roll are 10 cm x 50 cm and I am kinda stuck for ideas. So if you feel like helping me out, please do! Did you ever buy a fabric roll like this and what did you use it for?
