Wat vinden jullie van multi-coloured haakgaren en wol? Ik moet zeggen: ik was er altijd een beetje op tegen. Je weet immers nooit hoe de kleuren verspringen. En als je zelf verschillende kleuren garen hebt, kun je het tenminste zelf bepalen. Maar toen ik deze kleurencombi bij Veritas in Luxemburg zag, moest ik het toch even proberen. En tsja... ik weet eigenlijk niet wat ik ervan vind. Nog steeds geen enorme fan, geloof ik. En jullie? Overigens (ik weet dat de Belgische lezers nog wel eens klagen over de prijzen van Veritas), maar oh wat zou ik geven voor een winkel als Veritas in Utrecht! Zoiets kennen we gewoon niet in NL!
What is your opinion on multi coloured yarn? I have to say: I was never a big fan. You never know how the colors are going to work out in a pattern. At least when you have several balls of yarn in different colors you get to chose yourself how the color pattern will work out. But when I saw this ball of yarn at Veritas in Luxembourg I really wanted to try it out, I do love the color combo. But... still not a big fan. What do you think? Ooooh and despite my Belgian readers complainng about the prices of Veritas, I would kill to have a shop like that in Utrecht. We just don't have something like it in NL!
Nah goed, misschien is het wel een leuk wolletje voor sokken. Maar daarvoor heb ik denk ik niet genoeg aan één bol? Hm! Gelukkig had ik nog wat andere dingen om handen. Een aantal bestellingen in te pakken. Dat wordt morgen nog even gauw langs het postkantoor op het randje van het jaar.
Alright then, maybe I like it for a pair of socks. I just don't think that one ball of yarn is enough for a pair. Hm. Luckily I had other stuff to do too, like wrap up orders to be sent off. Gotta drop by the post office tomorrow on the edge of the year.
En dat mijn lief nu vakantie heeft, heeft ook zo zijn voordelen! Ik kon hem eens even meenemen naar de boer waar ik altijd groente en fruit koop. Leuk voor hem om een keer te zien waar de groente vandaan komt die hij 's avonds op zijn bord heeft en hij kon natuurlijk meteen even helpen sjouwen! Maar van het weekend dus wel ontzettend lekkere versie soep bij de lunch: wortel-tomaten met komijn en koriander.
And then there is the advantage of the man being home during the holidays. He went along with me to the farmer where I always get our fruit and veggies. It's nice for him to see where the food comes from that ends up on his plate for dinner and of course he could help me haul back all the groceries! But whe had really nice soup this weekend: carrot-tomato soup with cumin and coriander. Soo good.
