Inspiratie is een vreemd ding. Soms heb je zeeën van tijd en denk je 'laat maar komen', maar blijft het oorverdovend stil. En soms krijg je het ineens met bakken tegelijk. En ze was het afgelopen week gelukkig. Maar goed ook, want de shop moest weer eens flink worden aangevuld.
Inspiration is an odd thing, isn't it? Sometimes when you have time on your hands you really wish it would come, but nothing. And sometimes it comes all at ones and you need more time to finish all the projects in your head. This week, the latter was the case. And that was a good thing, 'cause I really needed to stock my shop.
Een tijdje geleden kocht ik dus een rol met allemaal lapjes en ondanks dat ik de stofjes héél mooi vond, had ik geen flauw idee wat ik ermee moest doen. Zonde, want er goedkoop was die rol niet. Maar met tijd komt raad en van de week had ik ineens een ingeving. Natuurlijk! Tassen. What else.
A while a go I bought this roll of different fabrics and I loved them, but was pretty clueless what to do with them. Such a shame, 'cause the fabric was rather expensive. But this week I figured it out. How could I have missed it! Bags, of course. What else?
De eerste die van de machine rolde was dit qua en rode exemplaar. Ik vind dit toch zo'n fijne kleurencombi.
The first one to roll from the machine was this tote in aqua and red. Lovely color combo I think.
En dit het tweede. Dat wolkenmotiefje met die vogeltjes vind ik trouwens echt top! En voor iemand het vraagt: ik heb echt géén idee van welke ontwerper het is. Mocht iemand het weten: ik houd me aanbevolen!
And this is the second tote bag. I just love the fabric with the clouds and birds. It's so sweet. And before you ask: I have no idea who designed the fabric. If someone has a clue: please let me know.
Aan deze tas zit wel weer een verhaal (hè, gelukkig maar), want de bloemetjesstof zat niet op de rol. Deze komt uit Istanbul. Ik kocht de stof daar in de Grote Bazaar. Ik denk zelfs dat het stof is waar de vrouwen daar hoofddoeken van maken, want heel dik is het niet. Maar wel mooi. Helemaal top bij deze blauwe stof die ik onlangs bij Ikea vond. Kon ik mijn Turkse stof eindelijk eens gebruiken!
There is a story about this bag (yay!), 'cause the flower fabric wasn't on the fabric roll. I bought it in Istanbul, at the Grand Bazar. I think this fabric is used to make head scarves normally, as it isn't really heavy. But it sure is pretty. I really liked it with this blue fabric I found at Ikea.
En ze liggen dus nu allemaal gezellig in mijn shop te wezen! En aangezien er nog meer mooie stoffen op de rol zaten, denk ik dat er binnenkort nog meer van dit soort tassen worden gemaakt.
And now they're all sitting nicely together in my shop. And since there are more fabrics from the lovely roll I think more bags like these will make an appearance soon.
