Tote bag in fuchsia with leather straps

Al eerder maakte ik een lichtblauw en een donkerblauw exemplaar. Maar ik was het gebruik van die lederen hengsels nog helemaal niet beu. Onlangs tikte ik een leuk fuchsia roze stofje op de kop en meteen wist ik dat dat een combi zou worden met die lederen hengsels.

I made light blue and a dark blue versions of this bag. But I haven't grown tired yet of using these great leather shoulder straps for bags. Recently I came across this lovely fuchsia pink fabric and I just knew that it would be a great combo with the leather straps.

En zeg nou eerlijk: het is toch ook een hele goede combi! Wat vooral heel fijn is, is dat de stof echt supersterk is. Daar moest nog een extra stoere machinenaald aan de pas komen, anders had ik het nooit tot een goed einde gebracht. Maar het is wel gelukt. De tas is zo stevig dat je hem zo kunt neerzetten, zonder dat hij omvalt.Daar houd ik van.

And lets be honest here: it is a very good combo isn't it. What I really love about this bag is that it's so incredibly strong! I really had to use a tough needle in my sewing machine to bring it all to a good end. But here we are. This bag is so firm and strong that you can just put it on the floor or on the table and t won't fall over. Now, I like that.

Ik maakte de hengsels weer vast met een contrasterende kleur. Geinig effect geeft dat. En zoals jullie misschien wel raadden, is deze tas ook gemaakt voor in mijn Etsy shop. De laatste paar weken ben ik superdruk met het naaien van bestellingen van mensen en probeer ik ook dingen te maken om met Etsy winkel lekker mee te vullen. Ik probeer jullie er niet constant mee lastig te vallen, maar met deze tas was ik echt wel even blij.

I attached the leather straps with constrasting thread. I really like that effect. And as you probably guessed, I made this bag for my Etsy shop. The last couple of weeks I have been so busy with sewing bags that people ordered and sewing things to put in my Etsy shop and fill it up quite nicely. I try not to bother you with it all the time, but sometimes I am just so pleased with the end result. Like with this bag.

Let's try something with leather

Je moet je grenzen verleggen. Gewoon af en toe eens wat nieuws proberen! Ik paste mijn vertrouwde tote bags eens aan met leren hengsels. Ze zijn zó gaaf!

You gotta try something new every now and then. So I've made some tote bags with leather straps. I really like them.

Het zijn lederen hengsels die je moet opnaaien. Ik koos constraterende kleuren om ze aan de stof te zetten (wat nog best even pielen was!), maar het effect is wel erg stoer vind ik.

These leather straps you have to sew on. I chose a contrast colour, matching the colour of the lining of the bag. It's was quite a task to sew the straps on, but the effect is great I think.

Ben er stiekem écht heel gek op, zo. Nu kocht ik meteen een paar sets, dus ik gok zo maar dat er in de toekomst nog meer van deze onder mijn naaimachine vandaan komen.

I am actually quite proud with the result. I've bought a few sets of these straps, so I am just guessing if I say I see more of these bags in my future.

Deze tas van mij gaf Ingthings een paar dagen geleden weg op haar blog. Er kwamen een hele hoop leuke reacties op. Ontzettend bedankt! Ik sta daar dan toch wel even van te kijken hoor.
