My crochet hexagon blanket in an After Party

Dat je met mijn haakpatronen alle kanten op kunt, wist ik natuurlijk al lang (lekker bescheiden hè, haha). Maar ik merk toch vaak dat mensen een beetje vasthouden aan het garen waarin ik het haakpatroon had bedacht, terwijl je (wat mij betreft) echt wel zelf kunt beslissen welk garen je voor een patroon gebruikt. Vooral voor een deken kun je uit ontzettend veel mooie wolletjes kiezen. Vandaar dat ik het heel leuk vond om voor een After Party de gehaakte zeshoekjes deken in Merino Soft te maken.
Maybe you had noticed already, but there are plenty of possibilities when it comes to my crochet patterns. But I often find that people stick to the example that I have crocheted, they pick the same yarn and the same colours. Which is a massive compliment of course (as they must like what I made). But when it comes to a lot of my patterns, you are free to choose whatever colours or yarn you like! Especially when you decide to make one of my crochet blankets, there are so many nice types of yarn to choose from. That's why I was so excited to make my crochet hexagon blanket in Merino Soft for an After Party.

Hebben jullie meegedaan aan de Last Dance on the Beach crochet along? Ik hoop het! Ik heb op Instagram en Facebook al zo veel mooie foto's voorbij zien komen. Ondanks dat ik zelf één van de ontwerpers was, had ik helaas veel te weinig tijd om een grote deken te maken, maar omdat toch graag de patronen van de verschillende vierkanten wilde haken, besloot ik voor een mini-blanket te gaan. Een beetje beach dus.
Have you guys been participating in the Last Dance on the Beach crochet along? I really hope you did. I have seen so many gorgeous finished blankets over the last few months. Despite me being one of the designers, I didn't have enough time over the summer to make an entire blanket. I did feel bad about that and I really wanted to try all the different squares. That's why I decided on making a mini-blanket. A Bit of the Beach, if you like.
